FAQ's
- Are you Licensed? Yes I am. This means my fingerprints have cleared through the DOJ and FBI, I am current in pediatric CPR/First Aid and have completed a Preventive Health course.
- Why do you do home childcare? Because children are my life and I love working with them.
- Do you charge a registration fee or a deposit? Yes. I charge a one time registration fee of for my drop-in clients and a Deposit at enrollment or to hold a spot for f/t and p/t families.
- Can I see my child and come get him/her any time I want? YES - by law you may enter my home any time your child is in my care and I encourage you to visit or pick up your child whenever you want.
- How many other children are cared for at this location and what is the ratio of adults/children? I am licensed for up to 8 children - no more than 6 for the ages I accept. Are usual adult/child ratio is 1:5.
- Why are you closed on Fridays? We are closed on Fridays because I am currently taking child development classes to better serve my family, and the children in my care.
- What do I provide? What do you provide? Parents are asked to provide formula, soy milk (or other food pertaining to a special diet), jar foods, extra clothing and medication and diapers. I provide wipes, vitamin D milk and table food. Hugs and kisses are free of charge!
- How often are the babies' diapers changed? As needed and before and after meals, snacks, and naptimes.
- Do you provide daily written records so that I know what and when my baby has eaten, slept and if he/she's had a BM? Yes, per request.
- Do you offer a Preschool program? I am currently enrolled in Child Development classes so that I can incorporate a more structured Preschool Program into our Fall 2007 schedule.

More FAQ's...
- How often are babies picked up, handled and talked to? As often as possible during the day.
- Will my child be cared for or fed by more than one person? Only a qualified person who knows the rules of the childcare home will be allowed to interact with the children.
- What happens if my baby gets sick? I ask that ill children be kept home or picked up from childcare asap for their well being and those of the other children in my care.
- Will my child be riding in a car? Not without written permission.
- Is there special insurance to protect my child? Currently I do not carry Liability Insurance.
- How is crying handled? Every cry is different and handled differently. Cries of pain, hunger or soiled pants are tended to immediately. Cries of frustration, anger or tantrums are handled as deemed appropriate for the age of the child and the reason for crying.
- Are there toys, mobile's, ect.. to provide stimulation? Yes!
- Am I the only one who can take my child home? Anyone listed in your child's paperwork with clearance (and your permission) can pick up your child from daycare.
- Will my child be outside, on fieldtrips or away from the facility? Yes. On occasion I like to take walks in the am or afternoon when time and moods permit. We have walked to the park when another adult can be present. I carry my cell with me while outside with the children so Parents may contact me at all times.
- Do you have any pets? Yes. We have cats. Our cats are current on their shots and generally are kept out of the playroom during daycare hours. PLEASE take this into consideration if your child or yourself has cat allergies.
