About Our Preschool Program

Our Program

Our Preschool Program will focus on the development of the young child through their natural curiosity & endless fascination with the world around them and will highlight all the main areas of growth and development for young preschoolers 'thru play':

  •  Physical Development
  • Social Development
  • Emotional Development
  • Language Development 
  • Fine & Gross Motor Skill Development 

Our Goals

Our goals are to help children:

  •  Love themselves
  •  Become excited about learning
  • Communicate verbally with peers and adults
  • Wonder and ask why things are
  • To have a mind of their own
  • Risk failure as a necessary part of growing
  • Learn to trust themselves as well as grown-up’s 

The preschool years are the most important ones for a child to learn these basic concepts. If children enter Kindergarten happy, optimistic, friendly, curious and self confident, they will learn! 

Our Schedule

Preschool hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 12:00pm. We feel that children learn best through observing and doing…therefore we encourage individuality and independence throughout the children’s daily activities.  

Our daily routines include the following:

  • Building Early Literacy Skills 
  •  Expression Through Music, Dance & Art
  •  Basic Math & Science Concepts
  • Outdoor Play & Exercise

Rates/Fees

  •  $20 per day
  • $9.00 per hour for Extended Child Care

 

Currently enrolled part time/full time families – No additional monthly charges apply

Daily Schedule Sample

Since the moods and desires of the children change on a regular basis our 'schedule' may change and be adjusted as deemed appropriate. All of our activities and projects are done with a hands on approach 'learning thru play'. Our Preschool time will focus on some of the following things:

  • THEME - An activity on the daily, weekly or monthly theme
  • LANGUAGE - Pronouncing & Reciting alphabet and words
  • READING - Storytime, independent reading and storytelling
  • MATH - Counting, sorting, number recognition, building & block play
  • SCIENCE - Animals, insects, nature, weather, puzzles
  • ART - Painting, coloring, drawing, crafts, play-dough & dramatic play
  • LETTERS - An activity on the letter of the week
  • NUMBERS - An activity on the number of the week
  • SHAPES - An activity on the shape of the week
  • COLORS - An activity on the color of the week

Here is a sample of what our preschoolers will be doing on Mondays:

  • 9:00 - 9:30 MUSIC (stretching, songs, dance and instrument play time)
  • 9:30 - 10:00 Letter of the week, Theme
  • 10:00 - 10:30 Snack, Outside Explorers
  • 10:30 - 11:00 Language & Reading
