| Hours Of Operation Our regular days and hours of availability for 2008 will be Mondays-Thursdays from 7:30am to 5:30pm. We offer PNO (Parent's Night Out) one Friday evening per month from 6:00pm to 10:00pm for $20 a family. We are closed on most Holidays and I take two non-consecutive weeks of vacation time each year, as well as a few personal days.

About Our Facility About The Director Hello! My name is Trish and I own and operate Tadpole's Child Care, also known as Trish Dawson FCC, a Licensed Family Child Care Home in San Diego, California. I feel that the most rewarding job one can ever do is raise a child and this is why I have chosen to open up my home to Parents in need of that special place...a home away from home. I've worked with children for over 10 years (not including my own young daughter)...I earned extra money in high school as a babysitter, I was a live-in Nanny, a helper and an assistant in local Child Care Homes, and I was also employed at a local shelter (ran through the County of San Diego) for abused, abandoned and neglected children. It is my JOB, and my LIFE to love children. Providing quality childcare is simply what I am meant to do. My childcare business is based out of my home. We are located in San Carlos (a small community in East San Diego County) near Gage Elementary. Please see the CONTACT US page for more information on our location. Our address and the children's personal info is not displayed on this site. My home is child-proof, safe and clean. The children have access to the front and back yards, bathroom (for older children), kitchen (for eating), living area and bedrooms (for sleeping) and of course the Playroom - a large room dedicated solely for the children. I have been licensed to provide childcare since June of 2003. All of our toys are age appropriate (for infants+) and most are educational in nature. Since the average age here is 18 mths, most of what the children do is PLAY. So the toys are kept clean and in good condition...and modern! Beginning in Fall 2007, we will have a daily Preschool Program that focuses on all areas of a young child's development...please contact us for more information about the Preschool Program. Please note: We DO have cats - they are a part of our family. Although they are lovable and gentle, they are kept seperated from the children during business hours if at all possible and all children are constantly supervised if the cats are near the playarea. They are current on their shots. Rates Effective January 2007, our rates are as follows: Full Time (over 25 hours a week) - $165 per week Part Time (up to 25 hours a week) - $145 per week Drop-In - $9 per hour (sibling discount is available) Daily (more than 4 hours) - $45 per day (2 days max at this rate) PNO (Parent's Night Out - 4 hour maximum) - $20 per family Tadpole's Child Care Program Our childcare program is neither a rigidly structured school nor a babysitting service, but rather an attempt to provide stimulating activities and a consistent routine in a family atmosphere. Because moods and energy levels change each day, I am very flexible in how I plan our days and activities. I provide 'Extended Family Care' which means that your child will be in a very loving and nurturing FAMILY atmosphere. The children participate in normal daily routines, 'real life' experiences and activities. I am very selective about the families that I choose to work with as I hope YOU are selective as to who cares for your child. I do not provide a formal learning program. I believe very strongly that learning takes place continually through spontaneous conversation, shared experiences and daily interaction, thorugh play.
